Of course, if you really wanted to you could spend all day just visiting every relevant location in the game to solve the case, but at the end Sherlock will make you look like a fool by describing how he solved the entire thing by visiting like 5 places total and explaining how he deduced everything from the details you just glanced over.Īnyone remotely interested in what it feels like to be a detective from a mystery novel needs to at least try one case of this game.

It's deceptively simple, after reading a short introduction to each case all you do is choose a location from an absurdly large directory of London, and if there is text that corresponds to that location in the case book, you read it. I mean it isn't a videogame, but Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective is truly one of the best detective simulations there is.
